These Logitech speakers are brilliant, set up took a couple of minutes and once done the speakers can be plugged in as and when needed without any hassle. Sound is great whether for music, films or just everday use. Have to say that the buttons on the top of the main speaker are small and difficult to use and I have not yet been able to get them to perform any functions however you do not need to use them as a matter of course so this downside is completely outweighed by the excellent sound. The case the speakers come in is also of superb quality and allows the speakers to be carried around safely. Cracking wee speakers! June 22, 2010 Steven Forsyth (Hamilton, Scotland) Excellent set of speakers if you need a compact set to use with a note book or laptop. Best feature is the fact that you do not need to plug them into the mains! They run from the PC's USB power supply. I use them with laptops running Windows XP and Windows 7 and the controls on the speakers work with both Operating Systems. I didn't want to have extra wires cluttering up the place with another mains adapter; I didn't want to have to put up shelves to accommodate speakers to keep them off the dining room table where I use the laptop. USB powered speakers seemed a neat way to have a better quality sound than the tinny speakers in the laptop whilst being able to dismantle them quickly and store them away in a cute little zip-up carrying case. My only concerns were the sound quality and volume level, since a USB port can only deliver a small amount of power to drive them. These speakers are both loud enough for a medium sized room and produce quite a rich, pleasant sound despite their compact size. Whatever anyone else says, Logitech have produced a quality product at an affordable price and I would recommend these speakers unequivocally. Logitech V20 Laptop Speakers March 23, 2010 E. Simple USB plug and play with no installation of additional drivers etc required, easy to use external controls (although I still tend to use the laptop on-board controls). Sound quality has been ideal for our requirements which are mainly dvd and iplayer although they stand up well to gaming requirements nicely as well. The only slight downer is for those that need big bass although you can hardly expect a 2.0 system with no woofer to deliver more than this does.
