Until the invention of Gamma Geometry, virtually all connecting cables were either parallel pair or twisted pair construction. Parallel pair cables are simple and efficient with good signal performance. However, they naturally allow noise & distortion into the signal. Twisted pair cables combat this by presenting a barrier to noise. But there are side effects. All twisted pair cables tend to attenuate & constrict the signal, which makes them particularly unsuitable for use with CD or DVD players. The patented IXOS Gamma Geometry uses a unique Inductance Control Core (ICC), which is woven into the positive & negative conductors to create a cable that actually performs better than a parallel pair, but rejects noise & distortion like a twisted pair. The result is a new & dynamic standard of performance that was previously only available from professional cables costing many times the price.
