The JBL P1224 is a powerful 12" car subwoofer with Plus Oneââ??¢ subwoofer cones. The membranes of these cones have a much larger surface area than competing models, which provides for an audible increase in bass output and efficiency. Another performance increasing aspect of the JBL subwoofer is the die-cast metal frame which contains the voice coil within magnets. This design feature dramatically increases reliability and durability, while the embroidered coils prevent any sound deterioration. The two oversized 3" voice coils also noticeably reduce distortion.
