Product Description
Set 50 years after the climactic events of the original Red Faction, Red Faction: Guerrilla allows players to take the role of an insurgent fighter with the newly re-established Red Faction movement as they battle for liberation from the oppressive Earth Defense Force. Red Faction: Guerrilla re-defines the limits of destruction-based game-play with a huge open-world, fast-paced guerrilla-style combat, and true physics-based destruction. - Open World Guerrilla Warfare: You decide who, when, where and how to battle. Utilise guerrilla tactics, improvised weaponry, and modified vehicles to lead insurgent attacks on EDF targets. Launch attacks based on your own gameplay style, take on missions in any order you choose, or engage in destructive activities to weaken the EDF's grip on Mars.
- Strategic Destruction: Use destruction to your tactical advantage, setting ambushes or chain reaction explosions to attack enemy strongholds and permanently modify the game environment. Leverage fully-dynamic physics-based destruction to improvise on the fly: blow holes in a wall or floor to set an ambush or escape, take out a staircase to stop your pursuers, or drive vehicles through blown out walls.
- Evolving & Emergent Gameplay: Carve your path through an ever changing landscape as you improvise your combat tactics - mixing gameplay styles, vehicles, weapons and explosives to defeat the EDF.
- Epic Sci-Fi Setting: Explore the huge, unforgiving Martian landscape, from the desolate mining outpost of Parker to the gleaming EDF capital city of Eos, then tear through the fully destructible open-world environments swarming with EDF forces, Red Faction resistance fighters, and the downtrodden settlers caught in the cross-fire.
- Multiplayer Combat: There is no place to hide when you put your guerrilla warfare skills to the test in a variety of highly destructive multiplayer com

don't like this at all January 30, 2010 J. R. Baillie (UK) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
played AC2 and rate it 4 star, played uncharted 2 and rate that 4 star, rate the saboteur even higher but not such a big fan of other games and disappointed by GTA4 and MW2 (liked the first one though)
anyway, this game was the worst of the lot
sounded quite good but the driving is bad, the story boring, the characters badly drawn, i played it 2 or 3 hours and can't be bothered anymore
i just don't care what happens, hope just cause 2 is better or someone makes a saboteur sequel
Repetitive and eventually boring January 14, 2010 Mr. R. J. Wilson (PLYMOUTH, DEVON United Kingdom) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have a couple of issues with this game.
a) the gameplay is very repetitive and ultimately boring. Every level in the game has the same sort of missions: destroy stuff, free hostages, follow someone and kill them.
b) You spend too much time driving to a location only to be killed quickly and then have to drive all over again to get back there.
c) Ammo runs out quite quickly
d) the whole game could have been much darker with a setting like Mars. How about exploring caves or coming across alien life forms or something?
Sorry not for me...
Destruction and a Little Mayhem. January 9, 2010 David Bull i found this game very satisfying it has a mood about it,the setting being on mars and you have various tasks to complete and talk about desroying and a little mayhem well it certainly ticked all the boxes for me.i must add that i have not completed the game i tend to delve in and then leave it for a while.overall i really like this game.the background music is right for the scenes that you go through. as far as i am concerned a good buy.
Red Faction Guerrilla on Ps3 December 1, 2009 Mr. C. Kelly (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Graphically, pretty good. Gameplay is fast a furious. Physics effects and the fact you can destroy pretty much everything....priceless.
You will probably finish the game under 10 hours, but want to play it longer, as its so much fun destroying things. Plot is fairly weak, but then again, the type of person this appeals to won't mind.
Can get repetitive after a few hours. Definitely one to buy cheap and trade in when you've completed it - not a keeper.
Aces :) October 29, 2009 John C Graphics = Brilliant, they are like THE best graphics.
Physics = Brilliant, bodies get crushed perfectly by the sledgehammer :D
Buildings = Fall apart brilliantly looks good especially when exploding :)
Explosions = BEAUTIFUL :P
Weapons = wide choice but I got bored of most rifles and stick with explosives :)
Enemies = enjoyable to destroy. Ai is pretty smart, further into the game weapons they carry are better and certain EDF types with thicker armour appear more often.
Vehicles = extremely fun to drive :D your team equip some with machine guns and rocket launchers, Enemy do the same but rather than rocket launchers they have Gauss guns :P one problem you cannot fly the jets the enemy have.
Landscapes = look pretty nice, no vegetation though.
People = lots inside vehicles, some help you if your in a fight with the EDF. but don't see too many walking around
Story = Good I like the end :D side missions absolutely everywhere which can be quite fun
Trophies = Absolutely impossible to get all without the addon. online trophies are HARD
offline trophies take fudging skill.
Basically its an AMAZING GAME all buildings in it are distructable :D EVERY SINGLE ONE. but no game deserves five stars overall im afraid. Don't buy it if your one of those neeks who goes for all the trophies, BUY IT cause it's a good game :)
